The 100 best Greek restaurants of the USA are ranked and are now available on newsstands. The publication belongs to The National Herald, and can be found in the May 28 – June 3, 2011 issue. This special issue includes twenty-four pages, which describe the best Greek restaurants of all types, from tavernas to haute cuisine. Some of them are Dio Deka and Kokkari in California, Milos, Avra, Aegean Cove and Stamatis in New York, but also Alexis in Portland, Oregon, Niko Niko’s in Houston, Texas and 92 others.

Publisher and executive editor of The National Herald mentioned that they hope this edition will be a motive for Americans to visit Greek restaurants, the image of which is supported by the prestige of the Mediterranean diet.
He also said that Greek-Americans do continue to provide excellent, healthy cuisine and hospitality. The list was created after a long extensive research and with the help of The National Herald’s readers, who made their own suggestions.
